By Tom Cowan, Director of Operations with Nexus 5 Group
Our family of companies had their annual awards ceremony earlier this year. It is a great way to to see all of our people from all around the country. Lots of catching up and meeting new faces. (The food and drinks were good too!) The awards ceremony is a great way to showcase our team members that go above and beyond in their roles. These awards were voted on by the whole company (peers), which makes it extra special!
There are five awards that focus on each of our core values.
Integrity - We act with honesty, openness and unity.
Commitment - We hold ourselves accountable and deliver on our promises.
Customer Fulfillment - We only succeed if our customers feel we are true to them and our impact in their lives is real.
Team Member Fulfillment - We genuinely care about each other's well being and nurture professional growth.
Community Impact - We strengthen and enrich the communities and neighborhoods where we live and work.
We had a strong showing this year with (8) nominations and (2) award winners.
Cameron Sasnett was nominated for the Customer Fulfillment award and was a winner in this category. He is certainly one of our superstars and his customers absolutely love him. And best of all, you'll never hear him talking about himself. He is a giving person and selfless. His peers are big fans as he is always pitching in to help in the field or with processes. A soft spoken, introverted man that has been loyal and helpful to the growth of Nexus 5 Group and many of his peer’s careers. Congrats to Cameron, a well deserved recognition!
Brian Weber was nominated for the Community Impact award and was a winner in this category. His story is certainly one of tragedy. But what a powerful story it is and it really helps restore our faith in humanity. Brian is one of the most selfless, giving people you’ll ever know. He is awesome at what he does for Nexus 5 Group.
You can watch the presentation of the Community Impact award to Brian on YouTube.
In the end, it was a good night and a successful annual meeting. With the year that we're having, I am sure next year will be even better. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
